Stewards of Grace

God has sovereignly given graces and gifts to each believer and they are to be exercised in accordance with faith to the building up of the body of Christ.  We are to be stewards of the grace He has given us.

The Humble Servant

Humility is a characteristic of the true Christian life.  We are called to a life of humbly serving Christ and others, just as Christ did for us.

Stripped Naked

Roman soldiers trained completely bare!  They stripped off everything that would hinder their effective fighting and to harden their bodies to wounds and the elements.  Thus, the Christian must strip off all that would hold them back in order to engage in an absolutely effective battle, unmoved by the elements of life!

Untangled Battle

The life of a Christian must be one that is not tangled in sin and consumed with the affairs of life, but rather has its sights set on Christ.

The Nitty Gritty

The sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit is what takes place in our soul, which in turn affects the details of our lives.  It creates the disciplines of a soldier.

Unheard of Requirements

The Romans had unusual, yet necessary requirements for their soldiers.  In order to be effective Christians, we must mirror these attributes in a spiritual, mental, and physical way.

Fight to the Finish

We need fresh faith for a fresh fight.  We are to set our hope and not move, no matter what the obstacles are.

Working Together

Every joint supplies, every bone has its function, and every member of the Body of Christ has their place, and we all must work together to achieve maturity.

Stand for Breakthrough

The Bible exhorts us to stand firm!  When breakthrough is closest, pressure is most intense - we must make the choice to continue standing.

Faith Works By Love

There is no such thing as effective faith without a proper working of sincere, godly love.
